FAQs

What is a divorce coach?

A divorce coach is an experienced professional who provides nuanced guidance to a married person considering or currently going through a divorce. A divorce coach can also be helpful after divorce as a person restarts his/her life.

Do you provide legal services or therapy?

No. The divorce coach serves as a mentor, confidant, and guide for a very disruptive process. The divorce coach has, however, practiced family law in the state of Ohio for more than 40 years. The breadth and depth of experience equips the divorce coach with a wide array of tools, advice, and strategies to promote healthy outcomes connected to divorce, separation, mediation, child custody, domestic violence, high-profile personalities, and much more.

Why do I need a coach, worksheets or courses?

After recognizing that the relationship or family dynamic is broken, it is difficult for the person involved to appreciate all of the work and distance that needs to be covered. The coaching, worksheets, and coursework offer a reliable source of information and potentially, comfort, connected to situations that shake your personal foundation and those of your loved ones.

What if I’m not married yet?

Even if you are not yet married, you’ve come to the right place! If you are considering marriage, we can help prepare you for marriage and identify ways to protect yourself.

Also, if you have children but are not married to the other parent, then you may have custody and financial matters that are likely to be handled in a manner that is similar to divorce.

Taken together or taken separately, marriage and children are significant emotional and financial commitments. Each comes with rights and obligations. It’s a good idea to approach those commitments with knowledge and preparation. The divorce coach is available to support you.

You’ve come to the right place.
